What is Bharat Connect (BBPS)?
Bharat Connect, formerly the Bharat Bill Payment System, is NPCI's interoperable platform for paying utility and other bills. Quicktap connects to it through BillAvenue, an authorised operating unit.
Who is Quicktap?
Quicktap Ventures Pvt Ltd is a technology provider. We give merchants the platform to accept bill payments; the payments themselves are processed on the Bharat Connect network.
How are payments funded?
From your Quicktap wallet. The amount is reserved before a payment is attempted and is only released on a confirmed outcome.
What happens if a payment is not confirmed straight away?
It shows as being confirmed and your funds stay held. We re-check its status automatically; nothing is refunded or written off until the outcome is known.
How do I raise a complaint about a payment?
Open Complaints in your dashboard, pick the transaction, and choose what went wrong. It is registered with the Bharat Connect complaint system and you can track its status there.
